History

All Saints Church History

• June 1972: Father William McKay named pastor of new parish in East Mesa


• September 1972: Bishop McCarthy approved the name All Saints


• October 1974: First Mass was celebrated in the church


• February 1975: Dedication and blessing of the church by Bishop McCarthy


• 1975: McKay Hall and parking spaces were added to the campus


• 1995: Father McKay retired


• July 1995: Father Robert J. Caruso named second pastor of  All Saints

• October 2003 : The Diocese of Phoenix granted permission to build a larger church on the existing property

• October 2004: New Church Building Project began

• November 2009: Bishop Thomas Olmsted presided over the groundbreaking ceremony for the new church

• March 2011: Construction is complete. Father Caruso transferred the Eucharist to the new church on Palm Sunday and the first Mass was celebrated on Holy Thursday.

• May 2011: The original church was demolished

• June 2011: Dedication of the church by Bishop Olmsted

• November 2011: Bishop Olmsted blessed our Adoration Chapel and Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration begins


• July 2022: Father Caruso retires and Father Joevensie "Jovi" Balang is appointed at Parochial Administrator




Fr. Joevensie "Jovi" Balang

Rev. Fr. Joevensie "Jovi" N. Balang was born in the Philippines on November 12, 1970.


He was ordained in 1995 with the Archdiocese of Caceres, Philippines.

Fr. Jovi came to All Saints in 2017 serving as our Parochial Vicar.


In 2022 he was Incardinated with the Diocese of Phoenix and was assigned as our Parochial Administrator in 2023.
