Order of Christian Initiation

O.C.I.A.

The Order of Christian Initiation (O.C.I.A.) is a journey to welcome people into the Catholic faith. OCIA is for those who are 18 and older who want to become a member of the Catholic Church.

OCIA is a series of rites that are conducted in the context of learning about the Catholic faith. This education and spiritual formation leads a person to become fully incorporated into the Body of Christ, the Catholic Church.

Who is the OCIA for?
• Those age seven an up who are not baptized who desire to be initiated into the Catholic faith (and receive the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist).
• Those age seven and up who are baptized in another faith, who will make a Profession of Faith and receive the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist.

Classes meet on Sunday Morning starting in August each year and end in April the following year. This program is also for children (OCIC) and teens (OCIT) who want to become Catholic.

If you are interested in participating in our program or have any questions about the O.C.I.A. process, please feel free to contact us using the form below. Deacon Steve will promptly follow up with you.
